The Captain Visger House Bed & Breakfast is an elegant option in colorful Alexandria Bay where you are invited to step back in time to the Thousand Island’s genteel Gilded Age.  This fully restored, architecturally significant home combines gracious antiques with 21st century conveniences.  You’ll find TV and DVD in the parlor, WiFi, MP3 docks upon request, plush queen mattresses, luxurious cotton linens and optional specialties like chocolate, flowers and something bubbly to make your stay even more memorable.

Some of our rooms have glimpses of the water, and the entire house can feel the gentle rumble of ocean-worthy freighters passing by.  It’s somewhere between soothing and thrilling and always, always, uniquely “the river.”

Breakfast is my greatest joy in this endeavor.  I am passionate about locally grown, sustainable organic ingredients in the food I prepare with love.

Awarded the 2008 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, the Captain Visger House is distinguishing itself among travelers near and far.  Make a reservation online or call between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm; or, give your loved ones the gift of luxurious accommodations and world-class cuisine by purchasing a Gift Certificate.  In the spirit of the Captain himself, it is an honor to serve you.

Celebrate all four seasons – we’re open year-round.
